Radyo benim yaşamımda önemli bir yeri olan araçlardan biridir.ilk radyomuzu babam ilk tütün satımından sonra almıştı,kardeşlerimle tütün çizerken arkası yarınları,türküleri ,şarkıları dinlerdik.Ajans saati gelince büyüklerimiz haberleri dinlerlerdi.Öğretmen okuluna gidince orada karaağaç dalına asılı hoperlörden maç yayınlarını,türküleri arkadaşlarımla dinlerdik.İlk maaşımdan almış olduğum radyo yıllarca bana hiç karşılıksız hizmet verdi,yolsuz ,elektiriksiz,susuz köylerde yalnızlığımı giderdi,bana yoldaş oldu.Onun için çok severim radyoyu.Her görev yapyığım okulda ilk işim radyo yayınlarını öğrencilerime dinletmek için hoperlörü dişarı vererek öğrencilerin dinmesini sağlamak olurdu.Öğrencilerimde çok severlerdi radyo dinlemeyi.Radto deyince nerelere gittik geldik.Halbuki biz Halil Amcanın radyosundan bahsedecektik.Eşim geçen gün denizden gelirken Halil amcanın evinin önünde eski bir radyo görmüş.Halil Amcalara sormuş “bu radyoyu siz mi attınız “diye onlarda “radyonun çalışmadığını tamir ettirmeye deymeyeceğini “söylemişler.”Metin’e göstereyim bakalım ne yapabilir”diye bana getirdi.Epeyce kurcaladım ama hiç bir ses gelmiyordu. Halbuki ben tamir konusunda denemelerim vardı.Çameli’nde görev yaparken arkadaşım Salaattin tatil dönüşü Radyocunun El Kitabı adlı kitabı getirmiş, onu okuyarak ne radyolar bozmuştuk.Ama sonraları da tamir etmeye başlamıştık.Epeyce bir uğraşdan sonra radyoyu tamir ettim,çok güzel bir sesi vardı.Daha sonra kağıt üzerinde taslaklar çizdim,beğendiğim en son taslaktan radyonun dışına kıl testere oymacılğı ile kapladım .Artık ahşap çok güzel bir radyo olmuştu.Bu radyoyu Halil amca otuz yıl önce almış taşımacılık yaparken depo da kullanmış.Yeni radyoyu eşim ilk gördüğünde beğendi.”Çok güzel olmuş”dedi.Halil Amcanın oğlu Hasan,gelini ve torunları bize geldiler onlara gösterdim.Onlarında çok hoşlarına gitti.babalarınında görmesini istediler.İşte Halil Amcanın çöpe attığı radyonun öyküsü senelerce daha yeni görünümü ile türküler çağırmaya hazır.
